World Food Day: Changing Climate Changes Our Food

On October 16, we have commemorated World Food Day. This year’s theme is “Climate is changing. Food and agriculture must too.”

This theme this year highlights the effects of climate change in how our food is growing and the food that we end up consuming. In a recent study conducted by the Food and Agriculture of the United Nations (FAO), many of the world’s poorest nations heavily rely on a sustainable environment to effectively grow and raise their own food. However, rising populations and the rising consumption of food makes it hard for food systems to adapt and keep the environment sustainable.

To find out how to ease climate change as well as effectively grow your food, check out the FAO website found here.
